Catching Up...

It's been along time since I have posted anything, so I guess I better play catch up. Ashlee had her belt testing promotion about a month ago and she was only suppose to move up one belt(to the yellow/orange) but during testing she impressed her Sensei so much that he skipped her two belts, she skipped the yellow/orange and the orange/white,she is now a green/white belt which moved up into the advanced class. She is now learning how to spar. Her gear just came and she is the only one who has purple but when it came it she was even more excited because not only is it purple but it's a metallic sparkly purple.
In 3rd grade math you are given a 100 problem test and you have 5 minutes to complete it. You start out with all addition, then you move to subtraction, then multiplication, and then division. Once you pass all of these you take a 5 minute test that has 25 problems of each and if you pass that you are in what they call the 400 Club and you get a t-shirt. Well, Miss Ashlee took the test yesterday and on her first try she passed. We are so proud of her, she has had a difficult time in math and she has overcome her struggles and it is amazing to see her shine!
With school coming to an end we are excited but also not sure I'm ready for the next step. Now I know how my parents felt when I was moving on the High School. Yep, that's right Miss Marisa will be moving on to High School next year. YIKES!! Miss Ashlee will be moving on to 4th grade which is also crazy. That's only 2 years and she will be in Middle School!
Well, I don't know if Brad has told anyone yet,I'm sure he didn't, so I'm going to spill the beans. As most of you know Brad is also in Karate. Well, the school that he Ashlee attend has decided to get back into competing. So, Mr.Brad has decided to compete. Yep that's right,he will be competing this weekend along with the other members of the Dojo in Santa Clara on Saturday! I'm nervous but yet excited and so proud of him!
I will post pictures soon!!

Let's go Gators! Let's go!!

The Green Gators play awesome last night!! Ashlee was exhausted by the time the night was over. She had karate from 3:45 to 4:30 and then had to be at the field at 5:30 to play her softball game, but she loved every minute of it. We lost 2-0 but that's okay the girls played great! Ashlee played catcher at first and then Brad decided to put her in as pitcher. She has only had about 3 practices learning how to pitch and she was a little nervous but she pitched awesome. She pitched a 2 inning shut out. Some of her pitches were actual strikes that the girls didn't swing at and then some of her pitches look good to the batter so they swung and struck out it was so awesome and Ashlee couldn't help but smile. Brad discovered last night how much power Ashlee has behind the ball while pitching for a little thing she can throw some heat when she wants to. Looking forward to game Saturday! Let's go Green Gators!!! Thank you Linda for making our banner!! The girls and parents absolutely love it and they can't wait to take their Gators home!!

It's been so long....

It has been so long since I posted last I don't even know where to begin.

Christmas ~ Christmas this year was extra special because we were able to spend it with Scott, Lyndee, Gunner, and Karlee. We had a big Christmas Eve breakfast at the house and this year we had a house full which was awesome. My mom, dad, John, Deb, Lindsey, Jared, Brandon, Krysten, Macy, Scott, Lyndee, Gunner, Karlee and of course the four of us. We are so thankful for being able to spend so much time with them.

Karate ~ Brad and Ashlee had belt promotion testing in January and they did awesome. They are both yellow belts now. They will test again in April.

Marisa ~ I took Marisa to Dr. Herron yesterday and he released her from her back brace but she still has to be extra careful. She is still released from P.E. until the middle of May. She has to go to a Rehabilitation Center for spine rehabilitation to strengthen up her lower back. She has to do four 45 minute visits. She goes back in 6 weeks for an X- Ray to see where we are out. So no softball for her this year.

Ashlee ~ Ashlee has been a busy bee. She does Karate two days a week, Girl Scouts every other week and now she getting ready for softball, which will practices two days a week and then one to two games a week. She also wants to sign up for Cheer, which will start practices towards the end of summer.

Over all the last few months have been busy but wonderful! We even got to spend some time with Uncle Rich last night. He was passing through so we met up with him in San Luis for the best pizza ever Round Table. I hope all is well with everyone!!
