It's Christmas Time....
Brad spent two day doing the front yard. It all started the day after Thanksgiving, it took him one day to wrap the tree and then a day to do the rest. The scary part is...well he's not done in his mind anyway. He still wants to add some more lights and maybe by next year we will have a Rudolph and a Grinch blowup. That's our goal anyway..I am going to say sorry now for the horrible sound quality I had to stand across the street to get it all and we forgot to turn the music up but you get the idea. Happy Holidays!!!

Marisa's Photo Shoot
Marisa was very excited to find out that she was going to be modeling for a company that sells pool products to places such as Wal-Mart. Thank you so much to Jered who was able to make this dream come true for her. She met a professional hair and make-up lady who does this for professional models in L.A., that was exciting for her.Not only did she do one shoot but Jered called her on her birthday and said they have another product that they think Marisa would be great for. She said that was the best birthday present ever! Now we just wait and see if her photo gets picked. The other day Jered sent us 2 pictures from the first shoot and 2 pictures from the second shoot. I was so excited to see them that I had to share.

Karate Belt Testing - 10/23/10
Belt testing yesterday was a lot different than usual. Not only was it regular testing but it was also black belt testing. It was insanely packed and crazy but it was so much fun to experience it. Black belts had to test for an hour straight without any breaks of sparring which meant that the under belts had to spar for that long as well. Brad and Ashlee usually only spar for about 10 - 15 minutes so this was a challenge for them as well. Ashlee who is still new to sparring did a fantastic job and Brad did awesome too. But what Brad didn't know was after the kids were done for that hour they had to spar with the black belts for another 30 minutes and well lets just say Brad accidentally walked into one of Mr.T's gloves and well he now has a black eye. After being at the dojo for 6 hours(12pm-6pm) we got home changed quickly and headed to Central Coast Pizza for the belt ceremony which was a lot of fun. We finally made it home after picking up Marisa about 11 that night. Got up early this morning and headed off for some fall ball in the rain! It was a long but fantastic weekend. Thank goodness black belt testing is only once a year! Oh, I almost forgot Ashlee is still a belt higher than Brad so he jokingly told Ashlee she couldn't test the next time so he could catch up to her!!

A day to treasure....
On Sunday was a very special day for all us. Scott, Lyndee, Gunner, Karlee, John, Deb, Caitlin and us all met up in Morro Bay and had so fun laughing, playing and taking pictures. We are so very thankful that Scott, Lyndee and the kiddos were able to make that drive again all the away from Texas. I took a few photos but I can't wait to see the ones that Lyndee took. Thank you all for making it such a special day for us and creating special memories that we will always treasure....

Monster Trucks finally came back to the fair..
After a few years of being gone the Monster Trucks finally came back to the Mid State Fair. We took the girls to see the Monster Trucks yesterday and they were in for a treat. For tickets holders they had a pre-show where you can meet all the drivers, take pictures and get autographs. But we also got to go for a spin in the "Alien Attack" truck, it was awesome. Brad, I, Ashlee and some other people sat in the back and Marisa got to ride in the front with the driver. It was amazing and they put on an awesome show!!

Dodgers Yankee Game 6/26/10
On Saturday June 26 we took my mom to her FIRST baseball game EVER! She has been a Dodgers fan for at least 30 years and has never been able to go. It worked out perfect on Saturday not only would she be able to experience a live Dodgers game but we also got to see the Yankees play. I haven't seen my mom so excited and have so much in a long time. It felt good to be able to make her happy.

Marisa's 8th Grade Promotion
It's hard to believe that this day had come. It was hard to fight back the tears. I can't imagine how I will be when it's High School Graduation. (I had to do a slide show because for some reason it wasn't posting pictures properly)

Catching Up...
It's been along time since I have posted anything, so I guess I better play catch up. Ashlee had her belt testing promotion about a month ago and she was only suppose to move up one belt(to the yellow/orange) but during testing she impressed her Sensei so much that he skipped her two belts, she skipped the yellow/orange and the orange/white,she is now a green/white belt which moved up into the advanced class. She is now learning how to spar. Her gear just came and she is the only one who has purple but when it came it she was even more excited because not only is it purple but it's a metallic sparkly purple.
In 3rd grade math you are given a 100 problem test and you have 5 minutes to complete it. You start out with all addition, then you move to subtraction, then multiplication, and then division. Once you pass all of these you take a 5 minute test that has 25 problems of each and if you pass that you are in what they call the 400 Club and you get a t-shirt. Well, Miss Ashlee took the test yesterday and on her first try she passed. We are so proud of her, she has had a difficult time in math and she has overcome her struggles and it is amazing to see her shine!
With school coming to an end we are excited but also not sure I'm ready for the next step. Now I know how my parents felt when I was moving on the High School. Yep, that's right Miss Marisa will be moving on to High School next year. YIKES!! Miss Ashlee will be moving on to 4th grade which is also crazy. That's only 2 years and she will be in Middle School!
Well, I don't know if Brad has told anyone yet,I'm sure he didn't, so I'm going to spill the beans. As most of you know Brad is also in Karate. Well, the school that he Ashlee attend has decided to get back into competing. So, Mr.Brad has decided to compete. Yep that's right,he will be competing this weekend along with the other members of the Dojo in Santa Clara on Saturday! I'm nervous but yet excited and so proud of him!
I will post pictures soon!!

Let's go Gators! Let's go!!
The Green Gators play awesome last night!! Ashlee was exhausted by the time the night was over. She had karate from 3:45 to 4:30 and then had to be at the field at 5:30 to play her softball game, but she loved every minute of it. We lost 2-0 but that's okay the girls played great! Ashlee played catcher at first and then Brad decided to put her in as pitcher. She has only had about 3 practices learning how to pitch and she was a little nervous but she pitched awesome. She pitched a 2 inning shut out. Some of her pitches were actual strikes that the girls didn't swing at and then some of her pitches look good to the batter so they swung and struck out it was so awesome and Ashlee couldn't help but smile. Brad discovered last night how much power Ashlee has behind the ball while pitching for a little thing she can throw some heat when she wants to. Looking forward to game Saturday! Let's go Green Gators!!! Thank you Linda for making our banner!! The girls and parents absolutely love it and they can't wait to take their Gators home!!

It's been so long....
It has been so long since I posted last I don't even know where to begin.
Christmas ~ Christmas this year was extra special because we were able to spend it with Scott, Lyndee, Gunner, and Karlee. We had a big Christmas Eve breakfast at the house and this year we had a house full which was awesome. My mom, dad, John, Deb, Lindsey, Jared, Brandon, Krysten, Macy, Scott, Lyndee, Gunner, Karlee and of course the four of us. We are so thankful for being able to spend so much time with them.
Karate ~ Brad and Ashlee had belt promotion testing in January and they did awesome. They are both yellow belts now. They will test again in April.
Marisa ~ I took Marisa to Dr. Herron yesterday and he released her from her back brace but she still has to be extra careful. She is still released from P.E. until the middle of May. She has to go to a Rehabilitation Center for spine rehabilitation to strengthen up her lower back. She has to do four 45 minute visits. She goes back in 6 weeks for an X- Ray to see where we are out. So no softball for her this year.
Ashlee ~ Ashlee has been a busy bee. She does Karate two days a week, Girl Scouts every other week and now she getting ready for softball, which will practices two days a week and then one to two games a week. She also wants to sign up for Cheer, which will start practices towards the end of summer.
Over all the last few months have been busy but wonderful! We even got to spend some time with Uncle Rich last night. He was passing through so we met up with him in San Luis for the best pizza ever Round Table. I hope all is well with everyone!!
